Smokey Sunrise
Smoke from numerous wildfires burning in the region blankets the sky as the sun rises over the Umpqua River near Elkton in rural western Oregon. The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Pollution Advisory, due to the smoke, in effect until further notice. (Robin Loznak)
